Where to get boss kit/hub for AE86?
Those nice billet ones or chrome or anodised.
Just not those ugly black things that look like it is used for casting lead....
Any one know?

Hi,

SAAS make some specifically for the AE86 (a bit longer than standard so your fingers don't hit the indicator stalk).

Enjoy

i have the ae86 one from SAAS, its good cause yeah, its longer than most bodgy ones. and mine only took 6 months to get. i ordered it from peps, they keep saying next week and fucking me round and when i finally got it it was the wrong one, rung SAAS and bitched to them about peps and got the right one the next week.
the thing is tho, its just another bosskit with an extension on it which is a little rough but does the job.

Hi Evosti,

I actually have another boss kit which a friend of mine spun up and extension for, then I found out about the SAAS ones.

Do MOMO wheels fit on the SAAS boss?

Thanks

No, MOMO wheels don't fit directly on the SAAS boss kit. When I was changing over from a SAAS wheel to an Isotta (who make wheels for MOMO, and whose wheels use a MOMO boss kit) I placed the Isotta wheel over the SAAS boss kit, and the holes in the wheel are a little further out than on the SAAS boss. I suppose you could drill/file out the holes in the wheel to make it fit. At least both use 6 bolts to hold the wheel on.

By the way, I always found the SAAS wheel/boss combo to be too close to the indicator, but maybe that was because the wheel itself was flat not dished..?

Hmm shitty.
Dont suppose this particular hub is simple enough to machine up on a lathe youself?
Any pics or (ideal - to clear indicator arm) measurements?
Thnx.....
