as some of you know i'm putting a 4AGE in my TA22
i'm putting an odessey battery in the boot - wondering if the es12v650 will be enough for the car - its 245cca which i figured would be enough
anyone have one of these? or a different model perhaps, my mate has faxed me the specs of these things, and, well not sure which one i need?

the starter motor on an old 4k engine can draw up to 130 amps so i would say that the 4age starter would draw more...(having higher compression) so i would go with something a little bigger...

well thinking about it i'm going to be running LPG, and, it needs good spark so the coil will need good solid power and, well my starter motor is a reduction gear type so i guess 400CCA can't hurt.
thanks guys for the feedback. will let you know how i get on.

I am interested in a light weight battery. Is that what the odyssey one is? How light?

i've had an Odessey esv12v800 in the aw11 since 1998.
when i was working at autobarn we all got them for our stereo's etc. and used them as upgrades in the comp installs.
the only trouble i have seen with them is that if you are just dawdling around town and the battery doesnt get a good charge it kinda goes flat.
we used to send them back the the Odessey dealer, and all they would do is put them on a BIG battery charger and they where fine.
i've only had to do this to mine once since i bought it, just used a 20amp (by memory) charger to bring it back to top condition.
