Well its a common sad story, i bought a house before i could even start my 2jz into is200 conversion.
99 Model supra
2jz-gte VVti version
6 Speed getrag V160 gearbox
LSD Diff.
25,000kms i believe
Make an offer, the car is hit from behind as well.

what's the rest of the car look like? write off? wheels? suspension members, brakes, rotors, how's the chasis even?? interior blah blah blah... am brewing a few ideas, thats all...

would you be willing to sell/offload the chasis (once youve managed to sell all the profitable goodies)??
if its 'basically' straight, but with front rear panel and support damage, there could be a project for it...
could you post or email me images of the car in general? front back sides etc?

I was going to sell the car whole, if somebody just wanted say the engine and box then sure i would sell the chassis.
I will post pics tomorrow of the whole car.
As for price, with people selling half cut Aristo's in auto with more kms and older for upto $6k then if i was asking about $11k i wouldn't think thats toooo bad.
Things like late supra dash etc i am sure of interest to jza80 guys, i know most people on here really want the engine and box is my guess so i would seperate.

Being a VVTI model it has the 4 piston brakes, How much do you want for the calipers and rotors if you're preppared to split things up?.
JustenGT4 - Being a V160/1 it's worth atleast $3000. There is a dealer in perth selling 1 for the above price, which although expensive, is the going rate for them - some fools ask $5000 for them, when you can buy them new for close to that from Toyota.

Well 'worth' is a matter of perspective in my book. What people ask is a very different matter and is just the market setting the price. The other issue is importers have overheads and there is always an implied warrenty (even if they say there isn't), private sellers are just fooling themselves by asking business prices.
I can get a new box for the 3K mark, hence i haven't forked out that for a used one. Plenty around at that price from importers.
All that aside, i'm just asking

Yup positive. Just like i can get fully assembled 3SGTE short blocks from toyota for half list price as well. Not for retail on selling though, it's strictly my use only.
Mate that car looks rooted, a damn sad end to a great vehicle

I'm fitting a 1JZGTE VVTi to a Lexus IS200 and was going to use a R154 gearbox.
How much for the V160, flywheel, clutch, pressure plate and tailshaft yoke??

Yeah, no idea what happened to the guy. I sent multiple PMs and emails and even left my mobile number. He's missed out on a couple of grand cash
Got impatient and spent it on a gearbox instead.
