As far as I know, Both of the MAP versions are exactly the same. Only the AE101 had slightly different pistons, something about snap rings.

They both have all the goodies mentioned earlier. The 6 odd kw power increase is supposed to be simply due to the twin exhaust.

The easiest way to see which version you have is to look at the date on the plug leads

- AE92: 1990 to 1991
- AE101: 1992 to 1995

The AE101 is also supposed to use a different code number on the MAP sensor.

Also, have a look on the engine (behind the AC pump) at the oil pressure sender/switch. AE92's have an oil pressure gauge, 101's just have a light, therefore only a switch on the engine. This is true on all the engines I've seen. Also, with the dipstick, the 101 dipstick is longer and in a slightly different place and made of steel cable, whereas the 92 is a flat piece of metal with a yellow top. Different lengths means no dipstick swapping. Again, this is true on engines I've seen, so don't blowtorchure me if I'm wrong Skull - Blink
