the car has TEMS, and there is a bit of thumping noise coming from the when i hit bumps, its not all the time and its not really bad. i was wondering if anyone has replaced the struts and springs in the rear of a supra with TEMS, if so how much??
if its some crazy price ill just put up with the noise.

What makes you so certain it's the struts or springs? A thumping noise could mean lots of things.

TEMS shocks are bloody cheap - around $75 ea from toyota (and they're made by KYB!). It's getting them in and out thats a pain in the arse. Also, you have to make sure you out the cap with the actuator on properly.

Are you sure you have bolted your spare wheel down properly? Or that there isn't a jack or something bouncing around in the side compartment?.

I'll have a look tonight. It's in the big folder with the receipts, that when I add them up I would have had a nice deposit on a house!!.
From memory I actually only paid $50 ea as I bought a bunch of other stuff from the same toyota dealer (engine mounts etc). Plus the spare parts guy was a rev-head who really liked the car (or maybe he just liked me...) Laughing

OK, front and rear (not sure which was which) as follows:

TO-4851019015 - List Price $70.87 + GST (I paid $45.45) ea
TO-4853019016 - List Price $70.87 + GST (I paid $45.45) ea

As I said, these are actually KYB shocks, with 3 position of adjustment for TEMS. Bargin!

either that or use the oppurtunity to upgrade to stiffer Tokico Illumina 2 struts.. although there have been one or two reports of a limited life on these, they are much stiffer than the stock units and still retain the tems features. Coupled with lowering springs they are meant to be a superb mod.
