Callin all cars ! Callin all cars.!!...1G needs backup

Guys i'm at a wits end here, refer to 'supra fuel consumption'
I've always had the idea that Turbo Cars are quite fuel 'efficient' and my Cress 1G conversion was justified for wanting more power and havin more fun.. But this thing with the fuel economy is driving me to the cleaners man...i'd like some help with trying to indentify the problem.
Engine - 1G-TT 3rd Gen,BOV,Pod filter,1.5kg lighter flywheel,
standard boost.
Chassis - Cressida GX60 standard M/T
Now the G/box from the original engine (1G-GE) is a W57 and the TT comes with a W58. The power on acceleration is not very 'good' or up to spec i'd think, cause the 'higher' end torque and response is very good the initial lower end is bad. I've had smaller cars with 1000cc engine getting the better of me at stop lights.
However that's not my main concern. The fuel is 'far' too much and i thinks there's a problem with the Turbos' or air leaks or actuator/wastegate.
The main symptom is a 'squeak' as i accelerate and a sudden drag, but for just a second, feels like it's gonna fly then..there's that squeak, tug then that heavy feeling than..i know the engine is using too much fuel to give that push..which seems very sluggish...at times...
Anyone here who can be of assistance please help !!.This weekend i will check for air leaks, and most probably remove the turbos and manifold to get to the wastegate/actuatuors etc.
Nark and the others who have the 1G, please give me some feedback on the possibilities.
Thank you all so much
cheers
p.s. 'Split pulse' does this mean anything ?? should i be looking for something at the manifolds ??

fark me, that's awsome economy!
guess that's my penalty for more power

LATEST !! i noticed (or didn't at all) the actuators didn't move at all..even at 7000 ++ rpm ?? there felt like some back pressure.and it for a second seemed like air was coming out of the POD filter.Could the wastegate/actuators be jammed ??
Will this then send 'wrong' signals and give the ECU an ECU fart ?? making all kinds of readings ?? and screwing the 'rythm' ??
cheers

you'll only see the accuators move signficantly under load - i dont think revving engine in workshop will create much boost unless you have a dyno or some kind of load on the engine? do you have boost meter inside cabin to watch while driving?
tho maybe the accuators are stuck open? which might explain the lack of movementat 7k RPM.
is your BOV venting air back into the air intake (should be fed in downstream of the AFM)? if free to air, then it won't correctly meter the amount of air in the induction system?
maybe there are leaks around the intake manifold
have you used leaded petrol (you may have stuffed the O2 sensor)?
has the timing been altered?
maybe the clutch is dead? tho a loud squeak when rising up from idel might suggest your water pump/air-con/powersteering/etc bearing is dead or failing?
split pulse is two ports feeding exhuast into the one turbo - not applicable with your engine.

Stuck open ?? ..hmm..possible..
NO Leaded Fuel. UNLEADED only !!
Timing was set 'advanced' just a wee bit.
O2 sensor was cleaned./replaced.
Clutch set/bearing etc. ALL NEW.
Where does the vacumm come for the actuators ??..exhaust manifold ???

accuators are driven by pressure from outlets just after each turbo.
they need pressure to drive the wastegate valve open.

Charles, later today after i got back from town i did the usual thing at home, pop the hood open to vent heat and look around the bay etc. Approx. 6-7 mins after shut down, i heard what was like a fart ...soft and long...and it came from the general direction of the Actuator/wastegate....
What could this be ????

OK here it is.
Sunday morning took the Turbo kits off, here's what i found.
The Turbo nearer to the firewall is shot.About 1mm freeplay, leakin oil etc. Checked the actuators and all are fine and dandy.
The gasket for that same turbo that sits on the manifold was cracked hence the hissing sound and fuel consumption.
The other Turbo is OK..no leaks.
So what should i do ?? look for another second hand one..or sent it to the 'Turbo' guy to fix it. i.e.bearings etc.etc.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
cheers

Bugger. Sorry to hear dude.
See if you can find a set of turbos and compare the price to a rebuild. Should end up cheaper.
BTW, I get approx 7.1L/100km on the freeway and 10.7L/100km thrashing around town.
Although prolonged time on boost will make a HUGE difference...

Nark, thanks, yeah i might get a 'pre rebuilt' or get mine serviced. The gasket cracked, would that actually be the cause of my high consumption ?

Yeah, you were prolly losing air back out which meant you ran very rich...
