Where is the 2J water temp sensor on the block?

They are located in the head. The one for the EFI is located below and between the intake runners for cylinder 1 & 2, whilst the sender for your temp guage is located directly below the intake runner for cylinder number 2.

Dave,
On the GTE these senders are in different locations than the GE by the looks of things.
Gauge sender is located on the water outlet pipe, it's the single wire plug.
The ECU sender is the twin wire plug which is located next to the gauge sender.

Just wondering if you could email me / post a pic of its location from the 'sensor location' diagram.
Im pretty sure i tapped into the sensor wire and not the sender.

Found and wired up
Working temp gauge , ta guys, it would appear at ambient temps lastnight of approx 23 degrees the car remains perfectly in the middle of the temp gauge.
Will have to see what happens when summer and heat soak sets in
|
