Booster for KE20 Sun, 21 September 2003 03:33 Go to next message
Just wanting some ideas on what booster and master cylinder I should use in my ke20. I have a disc brake sprinter rear end about to go in with 10" vented discs and calipers on the front. I don't know what the front brakes are.

Or can I leave the standard master cylinder? I think I would prefer a dual circuit tho.

Any ideas would be great.

I was thinking a ke30 booster and cylinder but really dont know?

I upgraded the booster and master cyl on my ke25 years ago.

not for the same reason as you are tho. I changed it because the original non boosted single circuit system was totally inadequate and I couldnt get it to operate properly. not to metion dangerous.

I used a 180B booster and skyline master cyl. The benefit of the 180B booster is that it is compact and common (at the time 1995). it was not a bolt in swap but wasnt to hard.
need to drill four holes in firewall and add a few extra brake lines etc.

did you have to actually modify the pedal?

What model skyline was it from?

im pretty sure I didnt do anything to the pedal - just fiddled with the rod length between the booster and pedal.

it was from an early skyline (7/8 bore I think)
