I had a set of 2TG cams reground and for about 9 years that motor reved to 8000 rpm and I had no problems with them , I sold the motor a few years ago and it was still in good condition . I had the cams reground by ( Camshaft Enginering ) in brisbane , At that time they cost me $80 including freight to mackay ( QLD ) .

when putting them in do you have to change the timming at all or do you just chuck them in again on top dead center with the cut out facing upwards.
standard timming.

Set them up as standard , But when you get the cams reground all the shims will need to be changed as the base circle will be smaller and thicker shims fitted to get the right valve clearance .

The last one I did I think they were about $10 each from ( Four Plus ) , You will have to put the cams in the head first and get an accurate measurment on the clearences and then work out what size shims are needed to get the specified clearences within .002" .
