I think the main difference is that the ke30 has a 3k (1.2 liter) and the ke50 has a 4k (1.3 liter). Make sure you get the coupe version as it looks a lot better!

A mate of mine has a very nice ke35 with a 5k (1.5 liter) for sale at the moment for $1600. It has a few extras including a cd player, alarm, webber carb, extractors, solex locks, 5 speed and more. Checkout http://forums.toymods.org.au/index.php?t=msg&t h=19727&rid=255&S=d45a9d9e974a075d20573086 7ce0a148&pl_view=&start=0#msg_161790 for more info!

cam_ra40 is on the money,

they are basically identical, but with minor grille and detail changes, panels should be 'almost' the same. main difference was the larger motor in the 5x series, but many KE30's seem to have 4K's now. same bore, longer stroke, and a good motor to start your modding.

as for you other kiddies.... oh god, i hope you all sell your corollas right now and go and buy Hyundai ecels with colour coded wipers and LED windscreen washer jets...

The KE55 i think also have a **slightly** stronger diff. Perhaps a borg warner instead of teeny weeny E series or something like that.

KE70 is boxy yes.
