i have a ST162, with the 3S-GE 2lt in it, i dont think i have enough cash for the cost of a half cut and installation and all the rest, so i was wondering if any of you guys know of any mods i can make to the engine so make a bit of a gain, also the names of some good brisbane work shops.
cheers.

There's not alot that you can do cheaply to a 3S-GE because they are pretty good engines to begin with.
You could probably get a small hp gain from new cams, exhaust, hi-flow cat, pod filter etc...but if you want real gains, you have to spend big dollars (high compression pistons, new ECU things like that).

Or you can save up and get a st165 or 185 ..
best start is exhaust and airfilter for some gains ..
the 3sge is a pokey little motor to start off with for a N/A motor - though if you want power - get the factory fitted option IMHO ( st165 gt4 ) and save yourself a lot of fuss ..
