GZE Compression Test Figures Wed, 24 September 2003 08:44 Go to next message
Guys I've tried searching the net to find these buggers and I can't seem to find what I'm looking for. I found some figures for the 20V so I'll use them as a guide to what I'd like to find for the AE92 MAP GZE, hopefully someone has them. Very Happy

20V Compression Figures:

Compression Pressure:
1,330 kPa (13.6 kgf/cm2, 193 psi) or more

Minimum Pressure:
1,080 kPa (11.0 kgf/cm2, 156 psi)

Difference between each cylinder:
98 kPa (1.0 kgf/cm2, 14 psi) or less

I wouldn't expect to get anywhere near those compression figures for a GZE, remember that the 20V has 10.5+ static compression ratio.

I dont have factory figures for the GZE, but my AE92 map version has 175psi across all cylinders, but not all guages read the same. Equal compression is more important than the actual number Smile unless your motor is completely rooted and has less than 130psi or so. Crying or Very Sad

Cheers
Phil

My freshly rebuilt AW11 ZE was pulling about 150-160psi IIRC.
