Check out the Toyota site for more info. They are loaded with everything and made mainly for the top execs and Japan's royal family.
I want the latest one with the quad turbo V12 in it.Now that would get along nicely i think.

Probably a private import. Not easy to come by i'm told as Toyota like to buy and destroy any s/h ones they see to keep them exlusive.Only make 200 a year so not many around.

Oh sounds very stock You sure it wasn't a one off, I doubt its an actual production model which kinda changes things a lot .

SmellyT - How old was the car?
From memory, one of the editors of Hot4s actually imported one privately, however it was an older model (def. not the V12).

Not sure... in the seconds I got to see it, it did have rear side markers which the ones on Toyota Japan's web site does not have. Sorta like the vertical Kingswood rear side markers. I couldn't see the back as it was obscurred by trees but the front looks the same as the ones that is available now. And it was driven by a Western guy .. which (not being racist or anything) was something I expected someone from Japan to be driving here.

Heathens! The Century is the ultimate in Jap-style pimpin goodness. It's barely changed appearance-wise since the 60's, and therein lies much of its appeal. That V12 powerplant is another appealing part... mewants!!

I would never say no to a 5 litre V12 under my bonnet, regardless of the car it's in. So much street cred in saying you've got a V12 under the bonnet

The woods a bit too red for my liking, and it needs lowering. To about my crown height. Then I'll pull out the cheque book.

Just to clarify, the 1GZ-FE was always a "beams" engine. It also came with VVTI; even back in "good ol' 1997....
Odd how the 1GZ came up in discussion here. The car/s in question obviously don't run it...(Referring to the sightings of Centurys in Sydney, I mean).

A) i had NFI when the 1GZ-GE was was first used, i didnt know when beams technology was first came in
B) Only one mention of a model number here, the rest of the discussion has been arguing exactly what the 1GZ-GE actually is.
So get over yourself.

5V-EU: 4.0L, 165bhp at 4400rpm, 213 ft-lb at 3600rpm.

Yeah I saw this one on the weekend. Damn big car too. Tony at Just Jap has actually put on a set of 18" wheels all round on it to see how it looks, and apparently the rears look half-buried in the guards. I've seen the interior of this thing and it has a TV screen (the old RGB screens in Jap cars) and a heaps of gadgets that would make the Stitt go crazy, like electric tilting windows on the front.
Not bad for it's age, but it just looks old.

I spotted a Nissan President the other day.
If I wasn't a Toyota fanatic I'd say they're equally pimpin.

now i know i'm dragging up an old thread, but my reply is important to it
click the link in my signature to see pics of my new baby, picked it up off ebay last month for $3850, in perfectly schmick condition and all i need to do is replace a leaking cat, and replace a seal on the power steering box. so i'll be looking at getting two new high-flow cats and i'll remove the last muffler and just have twin tips coming out where the single tip is
it is such an awesome car to drive... all the reviews i've seen say otherwise... but with the 5V-EU under the bonnet (yeah chris, it's pushrod), it just cruises along with no effort. (and sounds nice while doing it)
even though i'm a manual man at heart, the auto box (3spd) is nice, changing at good intervals... i've gotta be careful otherwise the next time i look at the speedo im doing "illegal" speeds
can't wait to get it registered... hence selling the rolla panelvan (clicky sig too) so some bastard buy it!!
