1g-gte conversion costs..... Sat, 27 September 2003 02:22 Go to next message
okie dokie, its time for my to do some budget stuff. ive made a list of all the stuff i need for my 1g-gte ra60 engine conversion, and a few prices. can people please help me out and add rough costs to some stuff and maybe some more specifics so i can work out what im looking at spending? also correct me or add stuff if im wrong....

-1G-GTE (3rd Gen, 157kw, Front Sump)
-New Gearbox (W58??)
-Computer and Loom

Japanese Motorsport said they have the 1g-gte engine package for sale for $1,500. I assume thats all the stuff listed above, right?

-EFi Fuel tank (Off RA65)
-EFi fuel lines (Off RA65)
-Engine Mounts
-Thermo Fans
-New Exhaust (How big? 3" from turbos to cat then 2.5" the rest of the way?)
-Intercooler and piping
-Blow off valve
-Heavy Duty Clutch
-Change Radiator Outlet
-New Front Swaybar
-Wiring
-Battery Relocation

-Labour to get it all put in, I'm allowing $1-2k....

-Timing belts changed
-Oil Seals
-Oil filters, fliuds, etc.

Stuff I'd like to do, but can wait if the above is getting expensive.....

-Electronic Boost Controller
-Turbo Timer
-Lowered springs/shock absorbers/whatever

Thanks guys, if anyone else knows of anywhere that has done this conversion before, can you let me know???
Very Happy

Ok, whatever costs you think it will be, multiply it by about 8 times and you'll get roughly what it costs.
