I need a set of front brake pads to suit an AE86 with standard Aus-spec disc brakes. I need the car for a cruise tomorrow so I'm really desperate here.

well i missed the cruise but i guess ill live, anyhow, ive called the shops today, and they want $90 just for the front. Now the only ones ive done before were on my old TE Cortina, and they were $40. Anyone know where i can get some cheaper in the melbourne area? if thats a normal price ill fork it out, but shit, are they gold plated or somthing?

$90 is expensive for brake pads?
remind me never to take you shopping for car parts. decent pads START at $200 a pair, and can go as high as you can count out of your wallet within half an hour.
the last pair of average performance pads I put in the front of my sprinter cost me $130. race brakes RB74's. they're a decent street pad, which coped with a full day at wakefield no worries at all. well worth the money if you want something better than the crap bendix makes.
