too heavy, too low

i just changed my rims to ssr mesh but since changing my rims from modern looking ones, the side guards and the inners has been grinding against the wheels when theres a pot hole, break too hard or change direction at high speeds. the current engine is a 3tgte.. seems that its due to the weight of the engine. Any idea what i should do ?

ummm you changed your rims and now they grind... and you think the engine is the problem?? I don't really see the connection here...
There's a few options I guess you could look at.. Get your guards rolled a bit, maybe it will be enough to stop the scraping. You could also maybe get some lower profile rubber on the rims to give a little bit of extra space between the top curve of the tyre and the guard.
Doing an engine conversion to a lighter engine variant seems to be a really expensive way to seeing if the guards rub against the tyre.
Just my thoughts...

could be the wrong offset. my tyres scrub the inner guards when i corner hard and that was just after i did my brake upgrade which slightly increased track which has the same effect as changing offset i spose.
