1st story 
was just cruising this afternoon after being in canberra for a week and i pull up beside this dude in a 2003 mazda 323.. he must have heard my exhaust because his mate beside him (passenger) pointed and laughed at my car. i'm extremely tired so i didnt give a shit.. i was gonna let him go ahead but i just couldnt. he took off quickly and i took off pretty slow. i caught up in second and blasted past him.
light up ahead goes red; i stop and he pulls up beside me about 15secs later (slow ass!).... this one was on a slight uphill and he was riding the clutch while i had the handbreak on. lights go green, he gives it some, i give it more and i'm in front in 1st with a chirp into 2nd. beatin. (he drove past; i pointed and laughed). he didnt learn the first time...
2nd Story
Driving my girlfriend home at about 10pm this Laser cuts out of a side street then stops at a red light. i quickly get in front of this slow ass 4wd in front of me and rock up beside him. lights go green, we both give it heaps (well, as much as these cars can) and we're neck and neck all the way up to about 100km/h; (in 3rd) quick shift to 4th and i'm gone.
Not much but hey, not bad for a 1.3L 84 corolla...

not bad mate. yeah ive a got a 1.3 rolla with stock 4k got a fully sik 2inch sports exhaust which makes it 100 kw at least. go the 1.3 they will always win.

From my experience the 4k is one of the slowest engines i have ever come accross surely you must have a few more mods than just an exhaust to beat those cars. In my old corolla i struggled to spin the wheels from a standing start in first gear let alone snap second!

well i bought the car (1st car) about 3months ago now and it already had a straight through 2.5" exhaust and the only other thing i can spot are the extractors so... oh and there's like a seperate heater motor in the car infront of the passengers seat.
maybe it's turbo'd 
nah..
it redlines at 6k but i've gotten it to 7200

My 4k was in a ke30 although the motor was originally from a 1980 ke50. It had been rebuilt to standard spec and went well for what it was. I didn't have a taco but i don't think mine would have reved much more than about 5500rpm. It sounded bad at about 3000rpm
Sounds like yours may have something done internally. I have no idea what your second heater thing is, but it's definately not a turbo. Turbo's don't look like heaters

i have a ke70 with a 5k with a webber and extractors and i can tell you that it is slow alright! My corona running on 5 cylinder would flog the pants off it!!!!!!!!!!!!
spins the wheels easy though

just added another to my kill list
it was a 95 cielo and it had an exhaust. he nearly got me. but i krept away
note: my bro has a nice cielo and it does 0-100 in under 9secs i'd guess. not overly fast but fast for a 1.6

hey fellas......ok i know this is my first post.....however i cannot believe that your car makes 100kw for a stock 4k just with a sports exhuast.....i think u may be exggerating a little bit......(no offense intended)ok i must admit i have a KE55 with a 4k and headers and 2inch sports exhuast.....i *can* chirp 2nd however i can only do it around corners..  .....i should be soon putting in a 5k and extractors with a weber carby......
