Performance / Tuning Shops...

Is there any reliable / trust worthy performance shops in Brisbane that you would be willing to take your own car to?
The 1g goes hard but I think it can go a little better in the right hands.
Cheers Kirk

is this right? it errors in my web browser.
also, has anybody got opinions/comments about buzzengines.com (who seemed to be very keen on Haltech)? or APC at Underwood/Logan?
(got the APC name from some dude at the local hardware store when i foolishly explained that i needed 50mm poly pipe & bends to mockup a manifold for my car - and he looked at me like i had three horns growing out of my head)
am trying to find someone interested in making a manifold (out of aluminium) to my design/mockup? but keep getting this "just chuck a new engine/head in it..." response - kind of uninspiring when you're waving cash in their face ;(

if you know specifically what you want, and what you want it made of ect, like it sounds you do, just look up engineers, fitters and turners, or boiler makers in the yellow pages. it seems automotive performance engineering often (though not always) means under skilled and over priced. i would be much more happy with a qualified fitter and turner/boiler maker, they will also charge you at a flat hourly rate, maybe even do you a deal if youre presenting them with something interesting, as theyre often doing fairly mundane stuff. that, as apposed to "that looks tricky/never done that before/ why dont you just do this instead".
