When looking at a turbo/turbos at night after running the engine for 20mins say, should they be glowing?
I doubt it but I thought I would ask the people in the know!!

yep, perfectly normal after a bit of a thrash. some turbos are a lot more prone to it than others, but they all get pretty damn hot

We had my brothers mini headers glowing once and that was a na car. Ended up being cam timing was out but that was because we were one tooth out when we changed the chain.
They were really really hot.

It usually takes an extended period of hammering, but yes it's not unusual for a turbo to be visibly glowing at night.
