X-racing hybrid cooler? Tue, 30 September 2003 03:52 Go to next message
ok, nissansilvia website has a group buy going on for these coolers, in a 600x300x76 size.
price is around $700, which is damn good.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows anything about these coolers. what hp are they good for, quality of build, etc etc.

I was originally going to go for a hyperflow cooler, which are apparently VERY good, but will also cost around $300-$400 more (but is 90mm thick, not 76)

Dont buy from them. I think the Hybrid place that X-racing get their coolers from is in Ingleburn from memory. They are cheaper there.

for the whole conversion, close to or under $7k. ive found $1500 engine packages at JSM and one for $1200 here:

http://users.senet.com.au/~a1auto/engines.htm

which include engine, gearbox, computers etc...

so would a big 600 x whatever x wahtever be overkill?

noticed that site doesn't include a loom with their "packages"

imho, always go for a half cut, with an uncut loom

otherwise you'll usually end up chasing pieces

well, 150rwkw would be nice, but i dont think i'd get there on $7000-8000. i basically want to be a bit faster than a GTS-T.... whatever that is in rwkw... Smile

they're really not that hard to beat - stock ones anyhow.
half-decent cooler, boost controller, cool air itake, 3-2.5" zorst, and you'll be set
