Well - as far as I know by the time EFI came out toyota were running both F and G series heads on the A series block. This would suggest that there would be no 4A-E engine. Far more likely that it is a 4A-FE.
Im not positive but Im confident enough to say that i doubt there would be an engine code like that.
Toyota usually specify a head code in there somewhere so its more likely to read 4A-CE, however this wouldnt make sense as the C generally implies a carby fuelled engine. I have never seen a factory injected 4A-C engine although I have seen aftermarket setups on an american site once. As posted above most injected engines came out shortley after the C in FE and GE modes so there would have been no need for toyota to waste money on a CE variant....particularly with the FE being the economy injected engine.
