Heavy Duty Starter Motor, Bosch, $30

Clutch throwout bearing, $5

18RC:
Pistons, $20/set
water pump, $10
oil pump, $5
carby, $10
thermostat housing, $5
dizzy, $10
If you ask nicely, I might even give some parts away free too?!

Hey Clint,
seeing as you mite bin these bits and pieces.. could be interested in some 18RG parts,
how about the oil pump and new drive and gears? Is this pump ready to be rebuilt? ie is this all required to rebuild the oil pump? or will i need more bits?
Is it from the early 18RG motor? what is the condition of the old oil pump?
What are the engine/gearbox braces?? got any pics ?

No idea on the servicability of any of the parts - I've not not used any of them. I'll pull the complete pump apart for you if you're intesrested to check wear, and generally yes, when "rebuilding" an oil pump over replacing it completely - the gears are replaced, as these items wear with time and oil impurities.
The braces are the cast items that bolt both to the motor and the gearbox under and alongside the sump.
Don't have a digicam, so sorry no photos for now. I'd estimate postage on those parts would be under $20 too!

Checked the used oil pump, it looks very good inside! There is some very minor scoring on the gears, but nothing to worry about for a general street motor, and I would quite happily clean it up and use it myself if I had an 18RC that needed a new oil pump (can you hear the rattling timing chains too?!!!?). I am of the opinion that if you can afford a new pump - go for it, but I would happily use this unit in a budget application too.

Never throw out any Toyota parts,If after all the dust settles and you still feel compelled to throw or give away toyota parts, especially 18rg stuff I can always find a good home for it. I feel a bit like GOOD SAMMIES but I have plenty of room.
