i might be able to get one...but it too darn expensive...

the reason why the items are pricey is because i send it back using EMS from japan...

why i use EMS is because i can track down the item..as well as there was a case where the custom hold my mate's small item (injecters) when shipping by air mail...so in order to get ride of this problem..EMS postage would less likely being disturb by Australian custom..

just to let u know that just sending a pair of kouki taillights excluding the bracket..it already cost me 6300yen..

sly16v...let me know how much yer willing to pay for a redline taillights and i'll see whether i can get within the budget..if not...then i wouldn't get it

i can't let u know the price yet..

at the moment i estimated by whiteline taillights would be cheap as well...but the shipping is just costing me a bomb...

EMS is the safest and best way to do these stuff from Japan to AUstralia.....at least i can track where's my stuff is if it get lost..

i wouldnt wanna buy these kinda stuff and ship by cheap way and in the end knowing that my package is gone..who knows taken by the postman who owns an ae86 as well... Shocked

all i can say is...price is 500 above if yer unlucky...if yer lucky..500 below...but it also depends on how many freaks want that redline as well..

sigh

Re: Kouki Taillights Fri, 03 October 2003 06:08 Go to previous messageGo to next message
would it be cheaper with few redlines taillights??

first of all...its rare to find redtaillights..and dont expect me to find a few redline taillights...if they have 2 pairs of taillights..the center bracket or rego lights might not be for sale as well..

2nd...sending 1 item on car parts from japan might get stopped from custom and get tax as well....imagine 2 taillights and 2 levin grill sent together....i've just spoken with the post office and that's what they told me...

i hope u understand my situation that its not i dont wanna get them but its just ridiculous getting them ship them back here at high price...

u can keep on searching for redlines in Australia and i dont know how freaking rare they are...or who got them for a bargain price...but i wouldnt wastee my time doing this if everyone wants to stand out of the ae86 crowd but will pay little money for them...

rare=pricey...

A pair of redlines would set you back $700 US on the market at least, and that is not even factoring postage ... they are the rarest of tail lights.

Are these the all red tail lights that we are talking about that they only made for a year(last year of production)? OR are we talking about the rear lights with the small redline across the top of the light?

redlines were a special edition limited run only avaialable as on option on kouki ae86s made in the year 1986.

There is some dude who lives round the corner from my place with em.. They look so damn hot... he's missing the center piece tho..

rock on.

1. no levins came out with redlines
2. the redline tail-lights came on truenos from the end of 1985 to end of 1987 (all kouki truenos have redlines as stock)
3. redline tail lights ( in good nick with all bits and bobs attached) go for roughly 10000-13000 yen on yahoo japan (then theres shipping to add on)
4. ems shipping from japan is fucking expensive but the only shipping i would use for exxy shit like that
5. my car has redlines so ner! Laughing Cool Surprised Very Happy Evil or Very Mad Razz

haro,

you lucky bastard!!! how did you get your hands on those babies?

I was always under the impression that kouki levins came with the kouki levin tail lights that you used to have. Conversly, i thought kouki truenos came with white line tail lights as standard. Both the hachirokus on c-red.com are koukis and have whitelines.

Also, that's the impression I got when I looked through Bill Sherwoods page.

http://www.billzilla.org/ae86stock.htm

The third picture shows 8 tail lights. 4 coupe, 4 hatches.

of the 4 i reckon they are 'zenki levin, zenki trueno, kouki trueno, kouki levin'.

the redlines doesn't appear on that particular brochure, but on a seperate picture. So i reckon it wsan't part of the regular catalogue.

rock on
