i have an st162 with an st185 engine and was wondering what the pressure on the radiator cap should be, i have 2 caps one has 0.9 on it and the other has 9.0, which should i use?

0.9 and 0.6??? bein a new car they would both be in BAR??
does the radiator cap pressure really matter much??

I've seen pics of radiators torn to shreds by incorrect cap. Too much pressure is a bad thing. Unless its boost

OK I have figured it out!!!
You had the cap upside down......... and it was a 0.6..... but when you look at it upsidedown it looks like 9.0!!
Go with the 0.9

as others have said its not 9.0 its 0.6 ....u were looking upside down
yes cap pressure matters
too high and u blow things like water pump seals etc
too low and the coolant can boil
do it right
u say u have the 185 engine .....did u get a halfcut with that or did u just use the old gear ?

i used a half cut for the engine but the radiator is the same old standard.
it probally was 0.6 and not 9.0.
