I noticed an odd sound when switching on my mum's car.
When I turn the ignition to the on position without starting the engine, a short time later it makes a grating noise. It only does this once, like something is being engaged. The noise seems to be coming from the timing belt side of the engine, near the power steering bottle.
1. I was wondering is this normal?
2. Any idea what would be causing it?
