i know i have asked this before but i just realised that my diff is the BW diff, but the little plate says: t-510 ratio: 3.90 ect ect
does this mean a 'dore diff center will work, or what, how do i find out

Depends on the centre size, and axle splines. There are 7.5, 7.75 and now even 8" centres, plus smaller stuff mostly from jap fitments. Splines also vary, and the type of LSD you could use will depend on what you have. Many older style LSD's are also no longer made new by BW (now called Motive Gear?).
