MA70 - New Toyota buyer with questions..

Hello All ..
I know of a 1986 Supra 3L for sale..
It is quite far away so I want to find some answers before wasting my time.
I really like the MA70 body shape.. but the owner doesnt know what it is.
Is this the MA70 ? The ad says its a 3L engine.. so that must be the MA70 right ? It is a 5 speed.
Also .. what are they roughly worth in good cond. with 220k kms?
This car is out of registration.. so it might be a cheap buy.

The a7 series come out in:
GA(Y)70: Non turbo and twin turbo 2ltr 1G-G(T)E *GAY* turbo or non turbo not enough grunt
JZA70: unshure about non-turbo but defiently twin turbo 2.5ltr 1JZ-GTE "Turbo R(ice)" not bad most options on par with stock MA70 turbo
MA70:
Non turbo 3ltr 7M-GE okish 7M-GTE is where the fun starts, then theres a "TURBO A" map sensored version
I have not seen a Sport roof JZA70 think that maybe MA70 only
Manuals are rare but normaly well thrashed
Be aware the Mk III can be local toyota australia delivered (prefered if you like cheaper insurance) or defeintly an import if a JZA70 or GA(Y)70
Bubbles in coolent bottle or brown stains under the coolent bottle indicate blown head gasket, can be a good way of geting a CHEAP MA70 to stick a 2JZ-GTE or 1UZ-FE in
Turbo MA70's and JZA70's have larger front brakes and typicaly a form of LSD diff

Allan,
My jza-70 frontcut had exactly the same sized front brakes as my NA Ma70. Where did you read that they were larger?
Jza-70's also came with a targa/sport roof.
They're a great car and this topic has been covered in many threads before. Do a search for MA70 and see what it comes up with.

SOME na ma70's come with the lager brakes and some GT turbos had 15inch wheels thus smaller brakes
may of been an option???... anyone here had a MA70 from new?
