I've got the 1g with it's single turbo and the whole gas system is in, but the car won't rev past around 2500 rpm, because the timing goes all to shit.

I've got a single coil running the standard distributor with a modified cap and rotor, running off a haltech with the sensors in the dizzy being used as the CAS, running via a reluctor adapter.
When I hit 2500rpm, the timing goes all over the place as the computer is for some reason seeing more timing than it really has.

Can anybody help?

I know people have had issues with the 1GGTE dizzy and Motec. The guy who tuned my 2JZ said he had quite a bit of grief getting the 1GGTE dizzy to work. Something about a bizarre rotor button and crossfiring.....not really sure though as I don't have anything to do with these motors. I believe their issues were solved simply by using a 1GGE dizzy. Your next problem will be to source one.

Talk to Traction Issues.....he had to go thru this grief with his 1GGTE and a Motec M48.

Of course, your problem may be completely unrelated to this.
