Well i have finally got my first pictures of the 302 developed. The photos are just of the engine sitting empty...has no work done to it. pictures with carby were taken to see if height was a problem. it appears not yet! Very Happy Also had to sit engine in to make sure sump and everything fitted properly!
Orange tappet covers will have to go! Razz (sorry cleveland lovers!)
Next job is engine mounts...made from 8mm angle iron...um, Wheres my 9inch grinder? Rolling Eyes

I had to modify my crossmember pretty big to fit the front sump in, as its so big! The pic of it is here also. Its made out of 6mm plate, so if anything has probably strenghtened the crossmember!
Its a bit of an eyesore at the moment, but i hope to have it in, running and painted industrial grey by xmas time! Will post more pics when are available...someone wanna host my conversion? Rolling Eyes

box is the original w58 out of the car, with a crs bellhousing adapting it to the block.

champion...was thinking you might! Have some of diff, box, other stuff may also be of use to other toyota boys! plenty more pics tho...havent taken many of my hardware yet - cam, crank, heads, rockers and all other new stuff Smile Will this encourage more people to do v8 conversions i wonder? Cool

thanks mate! Was assy to be able to fit that bellhousing inside the firewall and still be able to use the factory box mounts! Have to make some minor mods to top of bellhousing for some more clearance...peace of mind! Also dropped gearbox down a bit with some alluminium spacers i made...as ed said, ill get this all posted up on a site to view!
