Bloody Dodgy Bastard's

This has really caused me some grief, so I think I should share this info with you all. I bought an engine, from a guy who had got it from "***" imports. There were a few sump bolts missing, no worries, me thinks, so removed the sump, and had a look around inside. The following bits were missing from inside:
1. oil pump pickup,
2. windage tray, and
3. NINE bolts.
Thank god the young guy I bought the engine off, had never installed it, just imagine how long it would have lasted!
Guys, just be wary of these sort of problems when buying from so called " specialist engine importers".
regards Chuck.

Oh, believe me! I have it on very good authority that a 1G will last two weeks without oil!!
Even after sitting on the docks for months as a half cut...

...does that still say 'specialist engine importers'? oh sorry about that, it's an old sign ... we're actually a specialist rental importer
