Yep! Simple log construction to suit a T25, that cost the guy $400, and I made it myself!

No, the runners from each port run into one another in one continuous line (the log). This is your best budget option, but for a performance base, it's better to get a 4-2-1, or a 4-1 type design - these cost a dumpload more though as they take about three times as long to make! It will still work however, and on he street, you'll never know the difference. I make my manifolds from mandrel bent thickwall steam pipe bends.

CT26 will be fine, high in the revs I really dont think that it compares with a later generation garrett turbo, which is physically much smaller for the same (if not better) flow, easier to make oil/water lines, dump pipe, etc.

4A + CT26 = overkill! T25 or T28 = delicious power delivery!

lack of R E S P O N S E
What exactly does haul ass mean? That it feels good from the drivers seat? Of course it will feel good on the "seat of the pants dyno" if you go suddenly from 50kw at the wheels at 3500rpm to 180kw at 4000rpm.
Sure, the CT26 will come on hell hard, and make good top end power, but they are still far from ideal. Great for a dyno mule setup.
This debate will go on forever... It pops up at least once a month, but in the end dude, its your car, and your driving style, so do whatever you feel will give you the package you're after. I've been down both paths (not "heard" from a mates mate), and can tell you that I wont go back to a high flow CT26.
