Wheels for AE86 - 6 inch, 6.5 inch or 7 inch

after a little thought, i think getting wheels for my car will be easier than i had allowed myself to believe.
i have decided on 15 inch rims, but am unsure what width to go for, 6 would be good, as it is nice and legal, but the wider i go, the better grip i will get on modest rubber?? i dont even know if this is true.
i suppose it all comes down to what width is cheap and easy to get tyres for really.
any ideas?

All you say is true:
Depends on the off-set of the rims as well, go to low with the off-set and 7" rims wont fit, you'll need 6" + if you go to wide you'll rub your inner guard, nothing drastic but very annoying.
tyres are tyres dude, believe it or not the price difference between 275 and 205, is only because people dont hagle enough, if they dont give you what you believe is a fair price just walk away, there's heaps of different tyre place's, not to mention the difference in quality.
A good set of tyres to suit 225x15x50 should'nt cost more then $200 per wheel, fitted and balanced.
Dont forget to rotate your tyres every 6-8mths, they'll last heaps longer, but cost you more when need to be changed. getting 4 done not 2.
Just my 2c worth
