Well what have you got now, A340E? Whats done to your car, how and where do you drive it, and how's your budget Tell us about those things and someone should be able to suggest - e.g. hollinger 6spd sequential might be a goer, but 15-20 grand may be slightly more than you feel like spending!

Getrag V160 6-speed will easily fall into that budget. It's one of the strongest production gearboxes ever made - if you break one of them you're doing something wrong!

Yes, that and the V161 are the 6-speed manuals from a Mk4 Supra.

Probably Hollinger. What the hell do you want a sequential box for?

I would've thought the words sequential box and cheap were mutually exclusive.
What you could do is jimmy up an auto to function like a sequential, but it'd never be as good and you wouldn't have te six gears.

Why do you want a 3 speed auto? The Toyota auto the car comes with has more than 3 gears...? Sequentials are expensive for a reason.
I think you should get an auto and be done with it.
PS. Can you use some punctuation so we don't have to decipher what you're saying?

Its not going to be worth switching to an old-school 3-speed auto for the car unless you're chasing 8's or something dude. Just stick with the Toyota one, save yourself a wad of money for other shit that comes up and have a nicer car for around town.

TELL US YOUR SET UP AND MAYBE PEOPLE COULD HELP YOU.
IF YOUR RUNNING STANDARD TURBOS, GET THE STANDARD BOX REBUILT, SUGGESTIOPN IS MV AUTOMATICS IN SA 08 83700430. EVEN IF YOUR RUNNING 500HP AT THE WHEELS, THE BOX THEY DO WILL BE FINE AND YOU STILL HAVE OVER DRIVE, AND CAN HAVE MANUAL SHIFT MADE FOR IT.
BY THE SOUND OF IT YOU MUST BE RUNNING TWIN T88'S WITH A 17 INCH THICK INTERCOOLER, 9 INCH DIFF CONVERSTION, SO YOU MUST THEN GO WITH A HUGO'S RACE BOX, 3 SPD, TRANS BRAKE,8000 RPM STALL. IT WILL RUN 8'S ALL DAY. AND THAT IS A CHASER I WOULD LIKE TO SEE.
HE HE
JUST TAKING THE PISS.
SERIOUSLY MV AUTOMATICS ARE THE GO
