Gearbox Nightmares

I cant seem to locate the gear into 1st, sometimes (rarely) 2nd and a nice grind into 3rd, 4th and 5th seem ok to locate.
When at a standstill with foot on the clutch it takes alot of force on the shifter to get into first and then it will clunk in and It seems as though sometimes the clutch is being ridded minorly.
This is a weird problem, and ober the last month or so it has come and gone, any ideas???
Cheers in advance

say hello to warn synchros
Spose its time to think about living with it or getting the box recoed or replaced
When this happened to me i found that if i rode the clutch to idle when stopping it would crunch in a bit easier.
Just wait till it starts popping out of gear under any noticeable load

Sounds more like the clutch isn't disengaging properly, which points to a promblem with the clutch hydraulics. Start by bleeding the system, and check for leaks in the master and slave cylinder.

I second Norbie. If you don't have a hydraulic system, you may want to adjust your clutch cable.
