Alot, but on a more descriptive note, what car, cause that would help giving a vague idea.

Unless your looking for a hard top type conversion (aka lexus)
or somthing that is wildly diffrent, Why not strip out anything you've done to the car (ie mods)
sell the car as stock. and buy a convertable? I think it would be far cheaper in the long run and unless you can do alot of the finising touches yourself it won't be as good as factory.
Or better yet sell it as is and buy a Toyota

That's a bit harsh man
Problem with convertable conversions is that you have huge structural rigidity problems because the car wasn't designed for it. You would probably be looking at minimum 5 to 10k, probably more just to feel the wind through your hair. Personally I would look for a car that already is a convertable

If anyone is gonna consider a convertible Capri, I'd also suggest a skateboard, you get the same effect!

I agree, a convertible conversion is totally not worth it when factory 318 convertibles are available. It costs a LOT of money to do this properly and legally, which is why you rarely see people doing it.
