Moving sale. 18r-c & 18r-gu bits Wed, 08 October 2003 11:21 Go to next message
gee this last year has gone by quickly. worst part is that i STILL have all this stuff lying around my garage that i was suppose to get rid of at the START of the year but i got rather busy and lazy then fogot about it. Confused anyhow, now im 1 month away from moving house and i reeeeely dont want to have to take this stuff with me so im gonna try to get rid of it.

18r-gu
88253 on the head
head & block (inc pistons crank etc) $250
twin solex carbies & manifold $385
i beleve they are the origional factory pair
it needs some work done on it. the cylinders are a little rusty

18r-c $40 the lot just to get rid of it.
stuffed head. Honed cylinder but never used (was going to be used for the above engine)

both engines are complete but are stripped down to the last nut & bolt.

18r-gu
I'm in tassie at the moment, and wont be back until mid november, but I could probably orgainise for someone to go and pick it up. Depending on how far and how nice I am.

Thanks
Alan

sorry bout taking my time replying, the internet server has been down over the last couple of days

i dont yet know how much it will cost to get the head to QLD yet but i can find out

i can probably part out the dizzy cos ive got 2 of em, but their the points type and not necessarily in A1 condition, but they can be repaired

the twin solex carbies can be sold together with the manifold. im not willing to seperate them any further just yet unless i know i can sell both carbies and manifold

i live in the latrobe vally in churchill for those who want to know where it is

Hey, what are the timing guides like in the 18RGu head? they are the three guide which the top timing chain runs around..
I would be interested in them if they are in good cond with no grooves in them.. If you were going to part things out.

I might also be interested in the cams from the motor, if they are the 88253.

timing guides are stuffed, big groves in them. i may be interested in parting out the head as a whole (depending upon the response of other people) but i am not willing to seperate the cams from the head.
