Last time I looked at prices, Webers were about $800 each brand new. Then of course you'll have to pay someone who knows what they're doing to set them up for your car (jetting etc). It ends up being pretty expensive, and frankly I think you're far better off doing an EFI conversion these days.

i have 45's on my 18r-gu. WOrks pretty well.
a little boggy down low (lean) but they balance out pretty quickly and hammer a big roar home right up the rpm range!
For carbies they make the most unbelievable noise, and they totally rock. It took me all of 5 mins to get rid of the solex's after i heard what they sound like
P.S. i'm selling them soonish, but there are about 3 or 4 people already on the list with dibs

I just put some 45s on the clubman and wish they had been there all along. Also ported the head and manifold to suit and the difference it has made is awesome.
The motor i have was making 110rwhp with the 40mm carbs and is now up to 125rwhp with a lot more pull lower in the rev range.
My advice is to get them but don't break the bank doing it,$500 should get a pair off a running motor then you just need to get them rejetted to suit.
And i agree with Karl, the noise they make on full throttle is just amazing.Love it to death.
