hey all,
got a 1988 toyota mr2 and it feels a bit rough below around 4000rpm... reading about tvis and how it is blocked off i was wondering if this could be the cause of it... the picture is of a blocked off hose (circled in red) coming off the inlet manifold and i was wondering if this would be the connection responsible for activation/deactivation of the butterflies - any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

It's a bit hard to tell from that pic, as far as I know the vac line is underneath the manifold near the T-VIS actuator, so it'll be pretty hard to spot, but you need to get underneath & check it, that'll be the only way to know for sure.

BTW, any idea what the vac swith mounted on the end of the plenum is for?
