Front swaybar for ae92 rolla (which does not have already)
Fri, 10 October 2003 01:20
G'day everyone,
i just put a whiteline 20mm adjustable rear swaybar in the sedan. its one of the best handling additions you could make.
Whiteline sell front swaybars for ae92/93's but my car does not have a sway bar at the front. Can you put a front swaybar ? or does it only work for cars that have swaybars already...

hey mate,
as far as im aware if you got the same size swaybar for the front you would experience mass understeering.
however i think i was told that if you got a 12mm for the front then you dont experience any understeer or oversteer and handling increases dramatically.
hope that helps

Some models of AE92s came out with swaybars eg. 4AGZE. Also AE93 should fit. All will require the rear mounting brackets for the lower control arms as these contain the swaybar-to-body brackets. AE92s use ball joints on link from bar to strut and you will need lower control arms for the mounting brackets. AE93s use traditional rubbers either side of a link between the bar and the lower control arm and you can use your control arms.
