basically not possible

there are piggyback computers that will convert a MAP signal back to an AFM signal for such modifications, but theyre expensive, and appraoch the price of a proper custom MAP based aftermarket computer system.

other than using those piggy back compuers, not possible

cheers
ed

its single figures thank you very much! Razz

half of waht I have left is a piece of piss
half if summarising some guy's argument

and the other half is fixing up all the niggling little annoying formatting and wording issues - which will probably take me for ever Sad

hahahahahaaaa.....

oh dear, thats what they all say Razz

you dont wanna know the stories of 3 mates who managed to crash 3 individual laser printers at uni on thesis day Shocked

and also one girl who couldnt get her files to work in order to print... lost data and only had stuff from a previous 'save' - had to print that and hand that in - eughhh....

LALALALALALALALAL

Im not listening!!!!!

theres a printing place across the road from the uni, which at a last resort I will hand the disk to them (which I plan to take 3 copies of with me on 3 separate disks - I've had a disk corrupt on me before).

and no more horror stories!
Im going to be enough of a wreck as it is Razz
I also plan to print and hand it in with at least 2 hours to spare. and since I live 5 mins from uni, if everything gets fubar I can go home, un-fubar it and return to uni and fix it.

actually, I plan to hand it in with about 5 hours to spare, but I know myself too well Smile

37 hours to go and all's well
actually that's crap. all is not well, and even self denial is falling apart at this point

I never use discs Smile I usually FTP major assignments to uni even if I've printed them at home, and I take extra copies on a CD Smile

then use PDF (Acrobat) files (not Word) to send/take your thesis to the printer ... so it doesn't reflow or somehow stuff-up (and screw-up any page specific references, or page-by-page formatting that you've spent days working on).

word's a v.good word processing package, but absolute shit at presentation and portability.

charles.
