his is 540mm wide core size, I remember cos mine is 10mm wider
It will really depend on the size of the tanks. To go much wider than 550mm would require small tanks.
As you can see --> http://iamfrank.ath.cx/19072003/19072003%20001.jpg <-- mine aren't exactly that big.
I'm still trying to dig up a pic of when I test fitted it...

Not much room for deflectors so you might not be making full use of the height of the core?

good thing youre doing psych not physics greg
black bodies absorb and radiate heat the best. whats an intercooler? a device designed to facilitate the transfer of heat from one medium to another, by way of radiation from the core to air... hot inside, cold outside. best colour to radiate the heat effectively? BLACK...
god knows how much people are wasting their time and money squeezing in MASSIVE, brightly posilshed, coolers that will INSULATE their contents really well
i wonder if someone can do the maths for me and calculate the effective cooler size in black required to match the heat transfer performance of these wanky massive bright alloy ones!?!

if you pay me enough, i'll give it a go, i wouldnt trust the results either
is it possible to make the INSIDE of an IC black too? hence even more efficient?

the direction of heat flow doesnt have any implications on the choice and performance of colour. heat will alway travel downhill, black bodies simply increase the effectiveness of heat transfer (in whatever direction)

draven wrote on Sun, 12 October 2003 23:15 | well if external temps were hotter than internal temps of the cooler, youd want a silver one
|
if that were the case, an intercooler wouldnt work AT ALL regardless of colour
actually, even if outside temp were say 80deg, that would be your uintake temp, wouldnt it then the turbos would heat it more (above ambieant as usual) thus an intercooler would once again be useful

tomorrow
hence the *ponders* 17 hours till its due
and hence the stress
I only ever complete things at the last minute, but still seemto somehow do rather well. but in all honesty, I'll be satisfied with a credit for this. knowing my luck, I'm going to end up one mark short of a distinction

haha thow good is that!? me and my mate sometimes pull it off too....we turned up to just the required classes first semester, i didnt even open my psych book for the whole term and went into two exams blind...
he did 2 subjects = 2 distinctions
i did 4 = 3 distinctions 1 credit
so i changed and did a drawing class
also, my mate did fuck all in year 12....got a 90 enter score...
i did fuck all and got 69

Just back at work after 2wks hol's - hence late on the thread.
My 300x600x75 FMIC with 'standard' end tanks is now in place - no major body work to fit and I think the pipes will go OK without major cutting into structurally important stuff or battery tray!
cheers,
Justin
