icon5.gif  Brant Alarm Help - Needs remotes to synch with alarm Sun, 12 October 2003 04:20 Go to next message
i had a brant AA02E alarm installed last week, and i had to disconnect the power side of the battery yesterday, and now neither of the remotes disables the alarm.

Does anyone know how to get the alarm and remotes back in sync?

For my alarm you have to press the button like 3 times to re sync it? Yours is prbly totally different tho! Rolling Eyes

If it is not too late for you and you haven't already worked it out....
All you need do to just press the button until it works! Should be less then 10 times. The otherway is to tap it so the impact sensor makes the alarm chirp, then when it finishes doing its thing try the remote again.......

The Brant alarms remain in whatever state they were in before you unplugged power!

if this doesn't work then call Brant....

good luck

oh yeah.. i forgot to say that i worked this one out.. some wire under the trim was supposed to be connected to the chassis as a ground (i think it was the aerial).. once i taped it back to the chassis it was fine again.
