for about 2 weeks i've been havin this lil problem where my car likes to bog while i'm driving normally..
if i keep driving with the bog, my car will start to stall and if i try rev it or something, it's as if the accelerator does not work..
If the car stalls, it's a bit hard to turn back on, and i think the fuel pump does not pump fuel unless i start it like 30 times..[tried droppin a bit of petrol down the carby and it worked after a minute!]
so maybe i've got a faulty fuel pump
but also when i got home tonite, i was testing out different techniques of launches..when one time i actually left it in neutral and tried to launch
then i noticed my car had revved to 7.5k and i coulda sworn the car would not let me rev over 6k [rev limiter i'm guessin]
and now it seems to rev to 7.5k with ease [could go more but didn't want to try]
also i seem to feel in 2nd gear quite a bit of torque seems to suddenly kick in when i get to 4k
any ideas??

Yeah, lots of ideas. Bogging down, change in torque delivery - a. Check timimg. too far retarded or advanced can give this b. cam belt skipped changing cam timing. If car has backfired while cranking the cam can stays still while the crank turns backwards wich effectively advances the cam timing - enginge is a pig down low but goes like the clappers at higher revs. c. Fuel pump. Have seen this happen where the return bleed off valve system is contaminiated, alternates between super high fuel pressure and no fuel pressure - varying staes of lean and rich running.
just some things I have experienced that match your symptoms. Goog luck.
