hey guys,
what ratio should i look for in a T series diff for my ae86?
if i'm not mistaken there are 4.1 and 4.3..what varies between them and what should i go for when looking for a T series diff with lsd for my ae86?
and one more thing....if the rear end disc to disc with lsd were to ship from overseas...is it better to send the whole piece attached or dismantel them to ship..

basically, the higher the number in the diff ratio, the better acceleration youll acheive.
due to the high revving nature of the 4AGE, its generally the rule that youll want a high ratio to make the most of it.
it will have the downside of a reduced top speed however. (but how often do you see 180kph+ anyway?

Definately go the 4.3 in preference to the 4.11 - although generally you've got to pay big $ for an LSD AE86 rear end these days...

if you know where to look you can find a 5.1:1 t series diff!!
3.9 & 4.1 are very easy to find. 4.3 becoming harder. lsd very rare!!

CIG is a type of weld. basically he has a welded diff otherwise known as a "locker" or "locked" diff.

Yep, the centre will only suit a T or D series diff, and has been locked by installing and welding a plate to the spider gears, so the diff has no differentation between wheels! $100 delivered to your door!
