you guys seen or heard of one of these things? they measure 0-100kmh and 1/4 mile, horsepower and all this other crap-apparantly they use g-force (ie gravity) to measure it....
i didnt believe it either, but...one of my mates has one, and we chucked it in mine and a different friend's celicas (ra60 and sa63 respectively) and we measured them and they were pretty on track to the original road tests of the cars...
ra60 21r-c 0-100 = 14.5s
400m = 19.something secs
sa63 2s-c 0-100 = 12.4
400m = 18.something secs
nothing to boast about, but i just wondered whether these things have any credibility....

They are pretty accurate, they are gyroscopic, so the first ten meters when your wheels are spinning, only counts for 10 meters, not 300!! So i have been told the 1/4 is more accurate than something like the Apexi rsm, which piggybacks the ecu.
There are several other brands advertised in this months wheels magazine as well. But all of them seem to be windscreen mounted cigarette light powered things, and i don't like the looks of that, looks like a tacky add-on IMHO. need to get one properly mounted in dash, then you would be talkin.
You also need to re-config it on fuel, luggage, and passenger loads - cos all have a fare bearing on the results.
