Sprinter idle problem

My 4ac sprinter is having trouble idling it revs out normaly but as soon as I let it drop bellow 1500 rpm it just dies unless I give it another rev. the weird thing is that occasionally it will be fine, and then after a few minutes its back to the same thing.
Any ideas?

Doesnt just need a good tune? When I first bought my sprinter (4A-C) it didnt know the meaning of idle.
Just had to have it tuned properly and its all good now. Never stalls even when its cold but it does like to rumble at the traffic lights. Every 15secs or so it jolts, the whole car gets a quick jolt as well as through the gearbox. Its not violent or anything, just sort of a wobble. It seems to be when it goes below 700rpm then gets bumped up automatically. Watching the rpm tacho it just goes up and down between 700 and 800.

I think the 4ac has a tendency to stall from factory.
I remember my dad talking about it one-day when my 4ac was doing it. Never could source/fix the problem.
Just turned the idle up to 1100rpm and it went away.
Ive seen it in 3 4ac now, even one which had just been rebuild from top to bottom.
Hope you find the problem cause i never did.
Perhaps someone on the forum might be-able to shed some light on the subject.
Good luck
