AE92 sedan with 4AGZE and Levin Dash - NOW FOR SALE Tue, 14 October 2003 14:46 Go to next message
This is my little beast. Started off as my wifes car about 4 years ago and I recently wanted to do up a car and thought it was a good starting point.

Bought a front cut and transfer every bolt from the donner into my sedan. Also my car being a CS had no tacho, so I went about grafting the Levin model dash into mine. This took an extra couple of weeks to do, as I had to make up under dash fiberglass ducting to demister and dash vents to get them working. Now has climate control air con and the beaut super charger dash, with all guages and the green boost light (wow).

Lowered 2 inches with 17 x 7 wheels, 205/40 tyres. A two inch madrel bent exhaust and the entire car is now engineered and everyhting passed and is registered as such.

Now for sale. See thread 8 below this one

Thanks for your thoughts and I'm real happy with the way its turned out, but there is always more I would like to do but it all cost more money.

Hotrolla - You aksed about the cost for the whole project. Well this includes central locking alarm, seats (GTZ Levin), Engineering, blue slips, 12 months rego, EFI fule tank and lines, Levin front cut, wheels and tyres, stereo, new clutch, water pumps etc and heaps of other bits renewed. Also this is not including the purchase of the car or the respray 4 years ago. I have spent about $7500 with receipts. There are numerous little cost that I haven't mentioned but they all add up. Thought I was going to get away with it for about $5000 at the start, but as usual the budget gets blown out.

Matt20v - No the dash didn't fit and was a lot of work. The width (door to door) was ok, but the section under the windscreen had to be cut back about 20-25mm. Combination of Levin and Australin car under dash ducting and as I said I had to make the entire width of the demister vents out of fiberglass. This is a photo of the ducting I made up and as you can see the new ducting is a lot narrower than the orginal one. This being because I cut the dash back as mentioned.

Matt20v - You asked about the fiberglasing. I actually bought the products seperate (firbreglass, resin, hardner etc) for $80 and had to make the moulds and make the entire thing myself. As I mentioned, this took me about an extra 2 weeks to go through the process including the making of the moulds. Kevin

Re: AE92 sedan with 4AGZE and Levin Dash - NOW FOR SALE Sun, 02 November 2003 00:39 Go to previous messageGo to next message
Yes, I am selling the car to make way for the next project. Have added a stereo and remote central locking alarm since these photos.

Will put it in the for sale section shortly with updated photos. As mentioned this is only the second car in Australia with this dash (to best of my knowledge). The normal going price for these cars with just the motor mods is around the $10,000 mark. I beleive this is one of the better examples around and I'm only asking the same price as everyone else. So if someone comes up with $9,000 they can drive it away.

As everyone has pointed out, this is one nice ride (thankyou). Why wont someone put there hand in there pocket and buy the thing. Will work out to be thousands cheaper than if you did one up your self. And you will be all the talk of the other rolla owners with the trick GTZ Levin dash.

Kevmeister - you said copycat on the wheels. "Show us ya wheels".
