hi flow turbo bolts back on with no problem? Wed, 15 October 2003 01:25 Go to next message
hey everyone

i dont really know much about working on engines / turbos and stuff like that, hense my question:

i want to get my mate to take off my CT26 from my MR2 & i wanna take it into a performance place to get it hi flowed.

Will the turbo bolt back on with no problems or do they do something to it where it may not fit without doing any modifications?

im hoping i can save a little bit of labour costs

any help would be appreciated.

When your turbo is high-flowed, they modify the turbo's internals only. External mounting points etc remain unchanged so it will all bolt back on as before.

Hi-Flowing is internal to the turbo only... there should be no external differences whatsoever that would change the way you bolt it back on

i think the stock ecu for the 3s-gte in teh sw20(assumin thats the engine\mr2 you have) can cater for uup to 16psi without hitting fuel cut
