I have a mid mount bracket that I made for the exhaust side to mount a 4AGZE alternator to the motor, is that any good for your purpose?

greg - not that you would have ot use a 4agze alternator with this setup (different to n/a 4age type - with external regualtor)
bloody things have bigger bearings - you think it needs to be heavier duty for a s/c car?

clintgodde, where did you hang the adjuster from out of interest?
T - yes i think it may need to be a slightly heavier dutier variety. am using the stock 2T alternator on mine with a pulley from a normal 4AGE alt - same dia as the 2T one just multi ribbed. interesting that the GZE uses a external regulator tho.

Adjuster was swung off the head, near the timing case cover from memory, only used one of the M6x1.5 bolts to mount it, but never had a problem. I could make one to suit any type of alternator, not just the 4AGZE style too.
