advice for resprays Sat, 18 October 2003 03:25 Go to next message
can anyone suggest a shop for a complete respray of my ma61...
im just tryin to find out who are the pros out there, and who will paint my car with a brush and a tin...

preferably in sydney

cheers

Chris

p.s. a guy gave me an estimate of $2000, i was under the impression that $4000 would be needed for a decent job, so is it safe to assume this guy is not the best painter around?

I know ur not in qld.. but theres a place in qld that does outside resprays for 1000 dollars + body work.. then if u want pearl paint and stuff it goes up
So a decent job is around 2000 dollars..
A few guys from here have used them and were very satisfied, im going to use them later on
I suggest having a look at some of his prior work

it depends a lot - type of paint, how much rust/bodywork is needed, whether you want just the outside, or also engine bay, boot, inside of doors, etc etc

like down the back near the big shed warehouse building?

p.s. the guy who advised me about $2000 was from oak road smash repairs...any thoughts on him?

draven

i was real happy with the job, its been a while since it was done and starting to see signs of time Razz

fair few ppl quoted me on how good a job it was and actually referred him to a few people.

STR8 2.8

yep that sounds like the place.

not sure of oak road smash though.

i work for tynan motors, i can find out who they use or recommend. I know a guy who is good at touch ups but dont think he does full resprays.
